Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to see my doctor before starting physiotherapy?

Yes. Unless you are undertaking physiotherapy sessions out-of-pocket.

What conditions do you treat?

We treat a variety of conditions including musculoskeletal injuries, cardio-respiratory and neurological pathologies. Give us a call if you have any questions.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

If you have any imaging reports (MRI, X-ray, etc), please bring these with you.

How long is a session?

Initial evaluation - 45mins.*

Simple physiotherapy - 30mins.

Complex physiotherapy - 45mins.**

Personal training - 30 to 90mins.

Massage - 30 to 90mins.

  • Above times include dressing/undressing

* Please note that the first session must be scheduled within 5 weeks following the date of prescription

** In contrast to simple physiotherapy wherein treatment addresses only one area of the body (e.g. ankle sprain or fractured clavicle), your care is considered complex if you require treatment for several simultaneous problems and/or your treatment involves more than one body system (e.g. polytrauma, neurological or cardiorespiratory conditions).

How many sessions will I need ?

Each prescription is valid for 9 sessions. Prescriptions can be renewed by your doctor. Upon reaching the end of the 4th prescription (36 sessions) within one calendar year and/or for the same problem, you will need approval from your insurance to continue treatment.

Treatment volume and frequency will depend upon the initial assessment and occasionally upon the request of your doctor. We will schedule as many as are beneficial, but no more than are necessary.

Is there a waiting list for treatment?

While we do our best to promptly schedule all of our clients, delays can occur. You will see the earliest availability when scheduling on agenda.ch.
